Sixth Form Sports Academies

Sports Academies 

Alongside studying a Level 3 qualification in BTEC Sport, students will be part of one of our Sports Academies. We currently run academies in Basketball,  Football and Sports Coaching. 

Our sports academies give students the opportunity to combine academic studies with practical experience. 

Students in the Basketball and Football Academies will receive several hours of high-quality specialist coaching weekly from professional coaches. Students compete against some of the best college/academy and league teams both regionally and nationally. The programme covers skills training, technical and tactical understanding, fitness training and sports leadership. 

Students in the Sports Coaching Academy will benefit from hands-on experience with a range of coaching specialists and teachers. The programme consists of practical coaching techniques, classroom theory and coaching assistance. Additionally, students will be offered the opportunity to gain sports coaching qualifications. 

Our facilities are excellent and include a large multi purpose sports hall that can host a whole magnitude of various sports, three outdoor MUGA courts and hard standing court all with floodlit lighting, dance studio, fully equipped gym and a climbing wall. We also have access to the pitches at Chessington & Hook FC and our shared sports ground at Somerset Avenue, Chessington.
