Sixth Form Rugby Academy

Chessington School launches Sixth Form Rugby Academy with Harlequins Foundation

Chessington School is opening their doors to rugby students who want to continue their studies alongside playing the game. We are looking to recruit talented Year 11 rugby players (boys and girls) who want to combine their passion for the sport with their commitment to Sixth Form academic study.

Experienced, qualified coaches and school staff lead students through the programme, ideal preparation for a career in sport, sports apprenticeships, university, and other pathways. The sports qualifications delivered at Chessington School are BTEC and A level. These courses give good technical training and education providing a vocational alternative to A Levels and the opportunity for successful students to progress to Higher Education offering a unique mix of education and personal development through engagement with rugby.

The rugby will take place with Harlequins' experienced coaching team, with a mixture of training and classroom sessions. There will also be matches across the year.

Please read the brochure for more information. We plan to have an open afternoon soon, more details to follows.
